Storm & Insurance Restoration

Storm damage? Slow down. Here is how the process really works.

After a hail or wind storm, out-of-state contractors show up all over the south metro with door-knockers and "free inspections." Xteriors360 lives here. We will inspect honestly, tell you whether we see damage worth filing over, and guide you through the claim step by step - and we will still be here when the next storm comes.

What we restore

The short list, in plain terms.

Categories, not a catalog. Which product fits your house, your budget, and the look you want is a conversation we have at your kitchen table.

  • Roofs

Hail-bruised and wind-damaged roofs, repaired or replaced to a written estimate.

  • Siding

Cracked, dented, or wind-torn siding, matched as closely as possible.

  • Gutters and downspouts

Dented runs replaced with seamless aluminum.

  • Windows and screens

Broken glass and torn screens from hail and debris.

What you get

What we bring to the job, and why it matters.

Three things you can count on every time - including the parts you will not see once the work is done.

An honest inspection

If there is no claimable damage, we say so. A roof does not need to be replaced every time it hails, and filing a weak claim can hurt you.

Documentation your adjuster can use

Photos, measurements, and a clear scope. We meet your adjuster on site so nothing gets missed.

Local, licensed, and staying

MN Lic. #BC810251 with the State of Minnesota, based in Lakeville, and a name you can look up on the state site. Your materials are backed by the manufacturer, and the people who installed them are a short drive away, not two states away.

How it works

Four steps. No surprises.

Here is what happens from the first call to the last walkthrough.

  1. 01

    Inspection

We inspect the roof, siding, gutters, and soft metals and photograph any damage.

  2. 02

    Your decision

We explain what we found and whether a claim makes sense. You decide whether to file.

  3. 03

    Adjuster meeting

We meet your insurance adjuster at your home to walk the damage together.

  4. 04

    Restoration

You get a written estimate for what your home needs. Once your claim is settled, we do the work to that estimate. The claim stays between you and your insurer; the workmanship is on us.

Before you sign anything

How to check any contractor in 30 seconds.

This applies to us too. Run every contractor who comes to your door through the same three questions, Xteriors360 included.

  1. 01

Ask for their Minnesota license number

Every residential building contractor in Minnesota has to be licensed by the Department of Labor and Industry. Ask for the number, then look it up yourself. It takes about thirty seconds.

    MN DLI license lookup

    Ours is MN Lic. #BC810251.

  2. 02

Ask for a local physical address

Not a P.O. box, and not a phone number that forwards somewhere else. A contractor who lives here can tell you where they are based without having to think about it.

We are based in Lakeville, Minnesota.

  3. 03

Get the estimate in writing, and take your time

A written, line-item estimate that is still good next week. If a price only holds if you sign today, take that as useful information and get a second estimate.

Our estimates do not expire at midnight.

Should I file a claim?

Only if there is real, documented storm damage. A denied claim can still show up in your claims history. We will give you an honest read before you call your insurer.

How does the deductible work?

Your deductible is your responsibility. In Minnesota a contractor is not allowed to offer to pay, waive, or absorb it (Minn. Stat. § 325E.66). If someone offers, treat it as a warning sign - it puts you at risk too. If you are unsure, check your policy or ask your agent.

Do you handle the insurance paperwork for me?

We document the damage, meet your adjuster on site, and give you a clear written estimate for the work. The claim itself is yours: you file it, and your insurer settles it with you. We do not negotiate supplements or act as your go-between with the insurance company, and we think that keeps things cleaner for everyone.

Do I have to use the contractor my insurance company recommends?

No. In Minnesota you have the right to choose your own contractor. Your insurer pays for the approved scope of work; who does it is up to you.

How long do I have to file a storm damage claim?

It depends on your policy - many allow a year or two, but some are shorter. Check your policy or ask your agent, and do not let a door-knocker pressure you into a same-day decision.

What is a storm chaser?

A contractor from out of the area who shows up after a storm, signs up as many jobs as possible, and leaves. When something goes wrong a year later, there is no one to call. Ask any contractor for their Minnesota license number and a local address.

Think you have storm damage? Get an honest look first.

We will inspect, photograph, and tell you plainly whether a claim makes sense - before you call your insurer or sign anything. No pressure either way.
